Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport (MEL) is off the Tullamarine Freeway about 23km northwest of the city. A single trip by car takes about half an hour from the CBD. For departures and arrivals, the first 20 minutes parking is free.
Those on public transport can take the Route 901 SmartBus from Broadmeadows Station. Arrivals can take the SkyBus shuttle to Southern Cross Station, which departs every 10 minutes.
Perth Airport (PER) is 11km northeast of the city centre. Public transport users can take the daily Bus 37 from Kings Park. This bus stops at the Esplanade, Victoria Park Transfer Stations and the Belmont Forum shopping centre. Bus 40 is another route leaving from the Esplanade to the airport. The trip time is roughly 40 minutes.
Perth Airport also offers car parking and the Park&wait service requires a gold coin donation that goes to charities Princess Margaret Hospital foundation and Youth Focus.
