Located just 8 kilometres south of Sydney’s CBD, Sydney Airport (SYD) caters for both domestic and international flights. If you’re driving, access to the Domestic Terminal is via O’Riorden Street and General Holmes Drive. Allow up to 40 minutes travel time if you are coming from the CBD. Alternatively, a ride on the AirportLink train will get you to the domestic terminals from Central Station in around 15 minutes. Public buses leaving from Bondi Junction and Burwood are also available.
Brisbane Airport (BNE) is located 17km west of the city centre. Coachtrans offers direct transfers between the CBD and the airport every half hour for around $12. Or take the Airtrain for $15 and be there in just 22 minutes. If you’re driving allow at least 40 minutes during peak traffic times.
