Travel Documentation

Please ensure you carry your ID and your booking reference with you when travelling with Tigerair to make identification easy and validate who is travelling.

All passengers must show positive identification for check-in together with the booking reference (shown on the Booking Confirmation). Positive Identification (ID) is photographic IDs such as a driver's licence, national passport, social security card, Medicare cards. For children, the same ID requirement applies as adults, if they have an approved photo ID.

All children should travel with their birth certificate or student ID card.

Please note that certain Immigration Authorities require visitors to provide proof of confirmed return or onward tickets. Please note that photographic ID, which is not a passport, will ONLY be accepted for domestic flights in Australia. Failure to comply will result in the passenger being denied boarding.

Expired or damaged passports will not be accepted for any flight. Failure to present valid passports matching the names on your reservation will result in you being refused carriage.

Tigerair Australia reserves the right to refuse carriage to any passenger if their travel documentation is not considered to be in a suitable condition or shows any sign of being tampered.

If you are in any doubt about whether or not you require a visa to travel, please contact the local Embassy or Consulate of the country you intend to visit prior to making your reservation. Tigerair Australia will not refund tickets if a visa cannot be obtained after making the reservation and cannot provide advice on visa requirements.
